The Memory of Water - Woodstock Players
From Friday, 03 July 2009
To Saturday, 04 July 2009

Death and drama go together like Oedipus and his Mum. But what about death and comedy? In The Memory of Water, writer Shelagh Stephenson beautifully weaves absurdity with tragedy, in this reunion of three sisters the night before their mother’s funeral.
Winner of the 2000 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy, and made into the film Before You Go starring Julie Walters, Woodstock Players presents this darkly funny play that focuses on how each sister deals with their mother’s death, and the different and conflicting memories each carries of the same events.
