How to put your Event on the Calendar 5 years, 2 months ago #46

Hi all,

Follow these simple steps to publish your event on the site calendar:

1. Login to www.performingartsnews.com
2. Click the "Events" link form the menu.
3. Click "Add an Event" at the bottom of the calendar.
4. Fill out the details in the first tab. (Only Subject and Category are mandatory fields)
5. Click the "Calendar" tab and enter when you want the event to display on the calendar
6. If you get stuck use click the "Help" tab.
7. To save and publish your event, click the disk icon in the top right of the page.
8. If you stuff up and need to edit your event, click "My Events" at the bottom and you can modify or delete any event you have published.

PS:
If you receive any errors etc, take note of them and let me know so I can resolve them.

Hi all,

Access to the events calendar has been restricted to registered users only.

To use the calendar, register for an account and login, easy ;D

Cheers,

Ian.

Hi all...

When you put your event on the calendar, please remember to choose the days that you event is on...

so is the event is from Thursday to Sunday choose the n * per week option and tick the days that it is on.

Also make sure that you add the time for the event too, making a show that starts at 8PM an all-day event is confusing...

If you are having trouble, PM me or email and I can help you out...

Cheers, Ian.

I did a major upgrade of the events section of the site.

Now you can add exceptions like matinees and changes of times within a repeating season of shows or an event.

PM me if you need any help.
