Performingartsnews.com is provided as a portal for our community. The forums are
open to topics other than the performing arts. In fact, other topics that nurture
community and friendship are encouraged. Unfortunately there are those
who would, intentionally or not, push the limits of what we deem
acceptable. So, here are the guidelines for forum conduct:
- Profanity is strictly prohibited.
- Pornographic
material is not allowed in your posts, avatar, signature or anywhere
else in these forums. It will be deleted upon sight. If you have to ask
if something is acceptable, don't bother asking.
- Racial, ethnic or religious slurs will not be tolerated.
- Do not do any of the following:
- troll / bait - posting with the specific intention of instigating anger in another member
- flame - flagrantly and openly attacking another member
- jump threads - start another thread to continue a conversation from a previous thread that had been closed
- cross post - making the same post in multiple topics and threads
- hijack - divert a thread off-topic for your own purposes
- spam - repeatedly making the same post or senselessly posting either in the same thread or across multiple threads.
- Post in the proper forums. Improperly located threads will be moved to the proper forum or deleted.
- If you have an issue, private message the appropriate forum moderator and discuss it privately.
- If
you disagree with a forum moderator and wish to rebuttle one of their
decisions then private message them. Do not argue with a forum
moderator or site admin.
- Posting about, or
linking to warez, pirating software, or any other illegal activity will
not be tolerated. They will be deleted immediately upon sight.
- Try
to use proper grammar and sentence structure. At the very least type
semi-understandably. Usage of paragraphs and punctuation is preferable,
and proper capitalization and spelling would certainly be a plus.
You will only be warned once for any offense. Repeated offense of any
of the above guidelines will be swiftly discussed by the admins with
the repercussions agreed upon and promptly enacted by the site admins
likely earning you a vacation whose extent will be commiserate with the
infraction(s).
